General Practice Data for Planning and Research (GPDPR)

From 30th June 2021 NHS England will be changing the way it manages anonymised data to carry out research and analysis to help run and improve health care services  Names and addresses or any information that could identify individual patients is not collected. Patients have the right to opt out local data collection ( Type 1) and national data collection by completing appropriate forms. As a practice we believe it is approprate to collect data to carry our research which will improve health care.. There is further information if you follow the link below. You can also download the approprate type 1 opt out form to complete and submit to the practice so we can code your records appropriately. To sign a national opd out you have to complete the on line form which has several steps and requires you to know your NHS number. If you dont know what this is then call the practice and we will give you the number. You need to submit the Type 1 forms to the practice by 23rd June.

Improving how our Practice works

Do you want to help improve how the Practice works?

The practice patient participation group (PPG) is a group consisting of patients of the practice who get together on an occasional basis to discuss how the practice can be improved. It is very much a two way dialogue between members of he practice and patients. From the doctors point of view we hope that the patient participation group will support us in activities such as health promotion. If you cant attend meetings you can also register to receive emails from the PPG.
