Group Member or Virtual Member options
The MPPG is here to represent your views about the Practice. We meet every two months with Dr Masharani and members of his team to discuss these views. The MPPG recognises that it is not possible for a lot of patients to attend MPPG meetings so we have set up a virtual PPG to enable you to participate. If you are interested in applying to be on our PPG or becoming a virtual member, please ask the receptionist for an application form.
Our Patient Participation Group began in 2008.
The role of a PPG is involved in 6 main areas of work
See the available downloadable attachments below for a more detailed statement of aims and objectives.
The work is carried out by a group of patients and practice staff who meet at regular interval to decide ways of making a positive contribution to the services and facilities offered by the practice to the patients.
For a PPG to be successful it is useful that it has representation from as diverse a group of patients as possible. For example we would love to see mothers who have young children and those with physical and mental health problems.
We meet every 2 months early in the evening. The meetings are very informal and last about 1 – 2 hours.

The Participation group would continue to try and advertise the work they do by involvement of the local press and developing links with other participation groups in other practices and through development of their own webpages and virtual PPG.
All meetings at 7.30pm – Entry via back door of Surgery opposite the Fire Station
All patients welcome – please come and join us
Dates to be advised soon.
The Practice and the Patient Participation Group produce reports on an annual basis and also as a result of any surveys they may carry out.
